HURRICANE DUO Pager

Combined Text and Voice Alarm

The talking detector: The HURRICANE DUO reads alphanumeric messages received to the user. In addition, the device shows the message on the display.

What makes the HURRICANE DUO pager stand out?

  • Alerting via voice message
  • 64 call addresses (RICs) with 4 sub-addresses each
  • Loud alarm > 85 dB(A) at 30 cm
  • Message memory for over 100 messages
  • One-hand operation

The integrated digital speech processor distinguishes the HURRICANE DUO from the other pagers in the Swissphone range. It converts the incoming alphanumeric messages into a voice message and simultaneously shows the messages on a display. This way, the user is informed immediately, clearly and understandably about the content of the alert message, even if they are driving or not wearing the pager on their body.

The HURRICANE DUO has 64 RICs, each with 4 sub-addresses. Freely programmable fixed texts can be assigned to each of these addresses. Received messages are stored with date and time. Further information such as the operational readiness is shown on the display. Status display, vibration alarm, message memory, time and date display as well as battery level display are among the other features of this receiver.

The ergonomic one-hand operation makes the pager practical and intuitive to use.

High resistance and high protection class (IP54) in a compact housing.

The IDEA™ encryption used by Swissphone enables secure transmission of confidential messages. All messages are encrypted (end to end) from the input to the pager and thus cannot be read by unauthorised persons. The 128-bit keys used provide one of the highest levels of security currently available.

The RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) is an indicator of the quality of the received radio signal over the air. The higher this value, the better the reception at that location. The value is indicated on the unit by a bar graph. In combination with the return channel, the RSSI can be sent back to a system for quality control.
