Swissphone operates its own telepaging network in Switzerland. 700.000 messages travel rapidly and securely via the cable-based Swissphone network every year.
In 2007, the Pinneberg, Steinburg and Dithmarschen region took the decision to build an area-wide infrastructure for digital alarms. The alarm system they chose to use was the innovative radio-based DiCal multi-master technology supplied by Swissphone. Schleswig-Holstein chose multi-master technology for its high level of alarm security and its favourable long term price/performance ratio.
Between 2002 and 2004, Swissphone developed a back-up alarm system for the emergency services across the canton of Zurich for Zurich buildings insurance. This satellite-based network consists of around seventy base stations across the canton of Zurich.
